Oxidative Heck Reaction with Polyaniline-Supported Pd Catalyst

Significance

The oxidative Heck reaction of various aryl boronic acids 1 and alkenes 2 took place in the presence of 5 mol% Pd of PA-Pd1 (L = Cl) in acetonitrile to give 3 in up to 94% yield as a main product. PA-Pd2 (L = OAc) also afforded comparable yields of 3a with similar selectivity. The PA-Pd1 was reused five times in the oxidative Heck reaction of 1a and 2a to afford 3a in 72-94% yield.
